What it is for

GitBuilty reads a GitHub repository and explains it in plain English. Each sentence links to the file and lines it came from, and carries a label that says how sure it is. Nothing is kept as project memory until you confirm it.

Who it is for

People who build with AI tools and want to understand the code those tools wrote.

How it works

  1. It connects to your repository through a GitHub App with read-only access.

  2. It drafts statements about the code and labels each one: seen in the source, an AI guess, or not certain.

  3. You confirm, edit or dismiss each statement. What you confirm becomes project memory that AI coding tools can read.
